After four weeks of lockdown, Shanghai grows hungry and angry as the government reinforces restrictions and rips children away from their parents. China's restrictions have surpassed extreme.

Shanghai, China goes into lockdown. A city of 27 million people are now locked inside their homes and apartment compounds. In one of the most populated cities in the world, the streets are now empty. This is the history’s largest citywide lockdown.

During Shanghai’s 2022 lockdown you don’t have a choice. Whether you’ve tested positive or came into contact with someone who did, off you go to the mandated quarantine centers. And these centers are worse than the disease.
